I am Iris's 3rd cousin from USA. I got to meet her years ago in 1972 on a visit to Sweden when I was 20 years old. She was so lovely to my friend and me. I had studied Spanish in school so we were able to communicate and shared a wonderful time. Just so sorry that I didn't keep up our correspondence. It sounds like she made a huge impact on many people's lives. The words said in her obituary were so lovely. I was able to tell her half brother, Bertil, also in the US and who just turned 90, that she had passed away. He was so very sorry to hear this and we both send our sad hearts to those of you who shared in her life.
It is by chance through ancestral searches with a friend and her cousin in the area that we were able to find Iris and then at the same learn that she had passed away.
